Step 1. Look for the OBD-2 port under the driver-side dashboard.

Step 2. Plug our module into the port.

Step 3. Insert your key into the ignition and turn the key to accessory mode (electronics on but not the engine) .

Step 4. Press the reset button with the included reset tool and hold it for 5 seconds – the reset button is the larger hole on the top of the chip.

Step 5. After releasing, please wait around 30-45 seconds, the chip will communicate with the vehicle.

Step 6. Start up your vehicle’s engine. Vertex will start to get vehicle data as well as driving habits and adjust itself for optimal performance and fuel mileage after around 150 miles. Learning requires mileage and not time, it can be in a consecutive drive or over time..
